Private Guitar Lessons in Rhode Island and via Skype

            An alum of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, with a BA in Music and English Literature  (specializing in Guitar Performance, Songwriting, and Film Scoring), Guitar Strength instructor and Guitar World Magazine online contributor Scott Marano has spent 22 years playing the guitar and exploring its myriad possibilities, practicing his craft through numerous professional recordings and performances.

            Through the years Scott has worked with Constantine Maroulis (American Idol finalist and "Rock of Ages" star), drummer Joe Russo (Further, Trey Anastasio), guitarist/keyboardist Steve Vidaic (Citizen Cope), Marco Benevento (Marco Benevento Trio), and guitarist "Dimither" (Baby Stab Horror).      

             Scott has also studied one-on-one with Jon Finn and Joe Stump, and taken master classes with George Lynch, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Michael Angelo Batio, and Guthrie Govan, among others. 

             In addition to exploring his passion through creating music on his chosen instrument, Scott has also spent 19 years sharing his passion with students through one-on-one private guitar instruction.

            Now, after years of giving instruction in his specialization of Advanced Rock Guitar, Scott has expanded his practice to include students of all ages interested in exploring the exciting world of the Guitar in all styles.     

          Private Guitar lessons in the state-of-the-art Guitar Strength studios in scenic Newport, RI (featuring an impressive array of guitars, amplifiers, effects, and a modern recording facility), or house call guitar lessons anywhere in Rhode Island are available in the following concentrations:
